The 5C's car club was started in the late eighties by a group of classic car enthusiasts from Tahlequah and the Cherokee County area. In 1989 the club became incorporated as the Cherokee Cruisin' Classics Car Club. Since the club was formed it has grown to over 100 members representing a wide variety of original and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles. The club meetings are held the second Thursday of every month at Princess Drive-In in Cookson, OK. Club members gather at Burker King on Muskogee Avenue each Monday at 5PM year 'round. Cruis-ins to area restaurants are held monthly. The club also sponsors a toy run annual on the first Sunday in December.

The Cherokee Cruisin' Classics Car Club welcomes applications for new members. An application can be downloaded or come by Burger King any Monday around 5PM, meet some of the members and get an application. Membership is only $20.00 per year. Jon Edwards at the Tahlequah Autozone also has applications.
