Each year the Cherokee Cruisin' Classics Car Club sponsors an annual car show in cooperation with the Red Fern festival in Tahlequah on the last Saturday in April. There are usually well over 200 cars in attendance. First and second place trophies are awarded in over thirty categories as well as a variety of specialty trophies. The registration form is available for download from this website. The Red Fern Festival was inspired by the renowned novel, "Where the Red Fern Grows" by native author Wilson Rawls. Other events of interest during the festival include a bar-b-que cook-off, hound dog field trials, kids games and live entertainment.
